INSTRUCTION TO AUTHORS
Editorial board of Respiratio asks the authors to abide by instructions when preparing and submitting an article:
Two copies of manuscript should be sent along with literature references. In article text, references are marked by Arabic numerals in square brackets following the order of citation. Behind this numbers in list of references are the names of authors followed by full article title and journal title abbreviation. Journal titles are abbreviated according to Index Medicus. Vancouver rules of citation and referencing should be applied and Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals followed (available at www.icmje.org)

3. Articles should be printed by laser printer, with double spacing and 2.5 cm wide margin on the left side and 2cm wide margin on the right side. Text should be sent on CD or directly to an e-mail address.
Drawings and pictures should be made in one of graphics programmes on PC compatible computer and recorded in one of usual formats (.cdr, .jpg) and printed out by laser printer or drawn on paper. On the backing, number of the picture and article title should be written.
Place for the picture or the table in the article should be clearly stated. In that place, legend for the picture or table should be implemented.
Originals of pictures (photographs, slides, x-ray, CT and MRI, etc.) should be sent along with article. Labeling of pictures is not recommended. Tables should be written or printed out on a separate paper. Tables should be cited in the text.
4. On the first page of the text, below Title of the article authors names without titles should be written in Serbian and in English language. Below author names their affiliation should be stated with appropriate labels in superscript using following: *, †, ‡, §, ||, ¶, **, ††, ‡‡. Name, address and telephone number of contact author should be written in the bottom of page.
Next two pages of text represent Summary in Serbian and in English language, with maximum 250 words. In the top of those two pages, full name of an article is written both in Serbian and in English language without the names of authors and their affiliations. Summaries that are not translated or are incorrectly translated, Editorial board will forward the article to a lector and/or translator.
Contents of articles should be organized as following: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References. Author has the right to suggest other subheadings in the text. International non-proprietary names of drugs (INNs) should be written in lowercase and phonetically. Brand names are written in capital letters (we recommend avoiding brand names). SI units of measurement should be used.
5. Editorial board hold the right to make linguistic and stylistic corrections
6. Review, scientific and professional articles should not be longer than 12 pages and case reports should not be longer than 6 pages.
7. All authors should sign the consent for publishing article which should be sent along with an article
8. Articles go to peer review process of at least two reviewers assigned by Editorial board. Editorial board will return the article to the author in case reviewers demand for certain corrections with an attached anonymous reviewer comments.
